On our trip to Istanbul we know three things for sure: We HAVE to go to the Grand Bazaar, we HAVE to visit a Hamam and we HAVE to see the Blue Mosque. Hundreds of shopping bags and a head-to-toe body scrub later Grand Bazaar and Hamam are off the list so finally we head to the Blue Mosque. To get inside the mosque you have to take off your shoes and cover your bare skin and your hair. You become someone else. Covered in her own silk scarfs and the blue cloth (that she got at the entrance to cover her bare legs) Corey turns into a madonna-like appearance (with a smartphone) the moment she enters the dim inside of the building. The light, the prayers, bare feet and the spiritual atmosphere changes her ‘aura’ entirely. Once again I am impressed how a few pieces of fabric can change who you are (or seem to be).
It did feel nice to change back though, step outside into the sunlight, uncover and feel the wind in our hair and on our (well-scrubbed) skin.

Corey wears dress by Gat Rimon, silk scarf from the Grand Bazaar, flats by Chanel, bag by YSL and glasses by Proenza Schouler.
