My last Barcelona picture is dedicated to Blixa Bargeld.
He rushed past me just 10 minutes after this picture was taken. Black suit, black shirt, full stage make-up, not as skinny as I remembered him from the old days at ‘Einstuerzende Neubauten’ or ‘Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’. But still looking pretty handsome. In a ‘life-has-left-its-marks-but-I’ve-lived-it-to-the full’-way (that only men can get away with). He was probably rushing towards the tube station as he was due to perform on stage at the festival only an hour and half ahead of time.
(For your information:The purpose of our trip to Barcelona was mainly to attend ‘Primavera Sound’ Festival. Sure, I always wanted to see Barcelona and it is beautiful city but to spend 3 days just listening to great music, that’s bliss).
I felt immediately connected to him – wearing my black-pants-black-top-black-blazer-Rock’n Roll-ish outfit. He didn’t seem to notice me at all.
In any case I was perfectly dressed for a concert of a small black figure on stage (we were so late and so far away from the stage..) that started our evening a little while later. Another joyful evening of junk food, beer, rain and collective music enthusiasm.

(Thank you, Frank, for recognizing Blixa Bargeld first and for patiently taking those beautiful pictures)
