I was so happy to see Gunnar open the door of his studio in a bright turquoise jumper. It’s only February, but an increasing desire for colour is slowly building up in my chest. Snow is good, snow is white, snow is cold – but after weeks of snow I am ready for…something else.
I have to admit, turquoise is not my most favourite of all colours but when turquoise meets red – that’s a whole different story! That’s the feeling of 60s Poloroids, ‘Mad men’, high hair, tight skirts, red lips. A little bit slutty, but incredibly sexy. Mix it with leopard and it gets explosive. Gunnar instead, sitting on his red chair wearing his turquoise V-neck jumper and a flatcap tames this colour combination and leads it into the creative, intellectual spirit of the 70s. In colour psychology, turquoise represents ‘clarity of thought and communication’. So maybe the choice of colour wasn’t a coincident, since Gunnar was just about to finish working on his new portfolio, when I knocked on the door.

Gunnar wears a turquoise 2nd hand sweater, an old shirt from his dad, Nudie jeans, boots by Hess Natur and a flatcap by Brixton.
