It’s raining in Paris, when it should be sunny and springlike instead.
It is my last day in Paris and we have a lot on our list. Fleamarket at
Porte de Clignancourt – expensive but lots of inspiration (and lots
of Americans) – is first. We spend a few hours at the fleamarket, the
drizzle turns into heavy rain, our feet are soaked and we decide to
leave for Centre Pompidou (each with a new pair of shoes in our
bags). Since morning Dodo is walking in her 4 inch heels without
ever complaining, no visible sign of weariness. Maybe it’s because
she is used to high heels, or because she designed the shoes herself
so they are practically ‘made for her’ or maybe she just loves shoes
and good style so much, that she rather walks a tiny bit more
uncomfortable than to sacrifice her beautiful, elongated sihouette
and well-balanced proportions. Who said it was always easy and
how cheerless and dull this world would be if everthing was
practical and comfortable?
Dodo wears a chidren’s shearling jacket and a men’s silk shirt from a
vintage store, a handknitted scarf, jeans by Acne and shoes by
Surface to Air.
